I recently read an article on ‘What happiness is?’. The author discusses about job, personal life and so on and how to keep a balance etc. But for me, happiness is ‘being-in-love’. When I say that, I am not limiting to being in a relation. Not just that. Being in love with whatever one is doing. If I love to photograph, then that brings happiness. If I love to being alone and listen to music or read books, then that is happiness. Or I love to cook Croissaints with someone I am comfortable with, then that gets me high and happy. So it doesn’t matter what one does; what matters is, if they do it with passion and pleasure. Happiness is never the goal; it is a by-product of doing something with love. I’ve been in love and been happy.
And there are times it happens that one has to do things because it is expected. No passion, no pleasure, no love…just have to do it because of expectation and responsibility. It kills all the enthu and drains the energy. But…this too shall pass. That is the mantra by which I have lived and live.
Live with love and be happy. If not possible, hang-on; this too shall pass.
