A year to be thankful for

Last year this week was a tense one. Rani was admitted in hospital for delivery. After lot of tension for us & pain for her, a son was born to alliviate pain of divorce & reasons quoted for it.

The year went by so fast as we’re occupied with Piyo – the pain & pleasures of being with an infant.

We decided to celebrate his 1st birthday in Bangalore at his aunt’s home. Coming here was a memorable experience in its own.

It has been raining in Delhi heavily for months now. Though we started an hour and half earlier for a trip of half hour, we reached just 5 min before the counter closed. Then when we finally got into the plane we were told that pilots were stuck in traffic and didn’t make it. They didn’t make it for another 3 hours. So Piyo was in the air for his first birthday. We reached here at 2:15, his time of birth.

a tough week

Am glad that the week is over. It has been busy and mentally stressful too. I left home at 8 am and came home only after 9.30 pm daily. In fact it has been tough days since Aug 31st. The ministry introduced few schemes and the egov solution didn’t go well as expected. There were interruptions and disruptions. Add to it the gang of next-PM wanted to access the egov system and failed. So they complained to the minister 🙁 That set a dizzy and crazy momentum in the ministry. In fact this week, I hardly sat on my seat at office. Was attending one meeting after another finding out reasons and preventive measures and managed to have lunches in-between. Also the system was supposed to send out notices to select few but due to some logic error, it sent out to lots of folks who were not supposed to get it; few of them happened to be IAS officers and secretaries. That added to the existing crazyness in the ministry.

Hmmm…too many things. I was working until 11 in the night yesterday.

Hopefully I can have a good weekend.

Updates

It has been raining heavily for a week now. Apparently there is a fear of Yamuna flooding. They are saying in news that it hasn’t rained like this in 10 years! They said the same for winter & summer too. Why when we are here?

Its time of the year to start travelling again. This weekend, we are going to Coimbatore.
